United for Families named one of St. Lucie County’s Best Places to Work
Port St. Lucie – United for Families is once again one of St. Lucie County’s Best Places to Work.
This is the third time United for Families, which is responsible for the safety of all abused and neglected children in St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River and Okeechobee counties, has received the prestigious award.
Chief Executive Officer Christine Demetriades, Chief Operating Officer Chad Collins and Community Relations Director Christina Kaiser attended the annual awards installation luncheon, hosted in September by the St. Lucie County HR Association. Ironically, Demetriades left the luncheon just shy of receiving the award to handle a work-related emergency.
"This award is such an honor,” said Chief Executive Officer Christine Demetriades. “I am so proud of the mission-driven professionals I work with daily. Trying to provide a workplace for them that allows for professional and personal growth, stress management, and an overall sense of their value to this community, is very important."
Best Places to Work is a national program that makes its awards based on a survey of more than 30 questions that gauge the working atmosphere for employees. Items considered include money spent per employee on training and special opportunities, paid time off, flex time and health insurance.
United for Families was one of four recipients in the “more than 50 employees” category.
